Contributing components

To get started:

1. Get familiar with our principles for designing reusable components.
2. Reach out to the Cedar team on the #cedar-user-support Slack channel to see if the component is already under development in the Cedar backlog or if it exists in a shared repo.
3. Partner with a Cedar team member to help shape your idea into a proposal.

We'll provide you with a partner from the Cedar team to help shape your idea into a solid proposal. Together, you’ll work on a draft detailing your design specifications and rationale for the feature.

Proposal guidelines

Proposals must:

• Represent a single key idea
• Define minimum success criteria
• Be clear and complete
• Represent a net improvement

Proposals must not:

Overly complicate the system.
